Tell All by Chuck Palahniuk REVIEW!!
All in all I like the story although if it were not for Palahniuk's crazy characters the story is kind of like something you would see in a made for TV movie, or like my friend Brian says, a Lifetime movie. I give it 6 out of 10 if you like Chuck's stuff and a 4 out of 10 if you don't. If you don't know his stuff or not a fan you will most likely be more confused than anything.

Hey Football!!
If you know me you will also know that I care very little for America's favorite sport, Baseball, but I care even less about Football. I have not seen any football as of yet and decided that this year would be different.
This year I am going to change my ways. I am going to randomly select 1 team out of the 32 and root for them the whole season. I will learn much about the team from history to rivalry and maybe even go to one of their games if financing is available.

I have written down every team on a sheet of paper .
I have torn this paper into pieces.
Then I found a random attic helmet.

Then I put my slips in the helmet.
I then made a video of me drawing the slips which I am going to try and load onto this blog..... If for some reason I cannot I am just going to upload a picture of the winning slip.
Wish me luck.

BOOK OF THE WEEK!! A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin
A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4)
is going to be awesome... I hope. The last book left a cliff hanger and I am hoping that some conclusions will be made in this one.
That's all I got to say about that.

BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW!!! Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls)
by Maggie Stiefvater was one of the easiest books I have ever read!
Also a complete rip off of Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)
by Stephanie Meyer. Too similar to even say otherwise the only difference is Maggie did not drag the book on and on and on and it was about wolves and not vampires... I know what you are thinking, there were wolves in Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)
but these wolves are different. Effected by temperature, these wolves can not shift on there own will, it has to be cold outside.
If you are looking for a two-day quick read I would suggest this book and I would also see the intrigue of reading it as a Summer Reading book(for a 17 year old girl), but I feel like the teacher that chose this was just making the work load easy and maybe trying to get brownie points with her(assuming teacher is female) fall class. It may work but I feel like kids should be reading The Grapes of Wrath (Penguin Classics)
, The Importance Of Being Earnest, Candide
, and other such classic writings. These books are made of real stuff.
It is part of a 3 part series so I am planning on finishing the series out and reviewing each but for now I think I will move to a more challenging read... A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4)
.
If you are interested in reading any of the books I have mentioned just click on there titles and you can order them straight from amazon! AWESOME!!!
Pleas comment on how I make you feel below...

BOOK OF THE WEEK!!! Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls)
by Maggie Stiefvater.
This is probably a book I would have never picked up but it is on my lil sisters summer reading for this year and I wanted to find out what these kids are reading. This being said I have been reading for a day and am already half way through it.
But I will let the anticipation build for my review.
You are awesome for reading this blog.

A Game of Thrones break...for a week (or a few days)
Finished A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 3)
and am still very much stoked about the series. There are a lot of people being killed in these books and although I am sad at some there are some much needed villains being finally brought to justice in this third installment! I am excited to start the 4th book but am also glad to take a one book reprieve from the series and read an easy fast book to break things up a bit.
Also if you have not started watching the TV series for Game of Thrones... What are you waiting for???
ITS AMAZING!!!
If you have any questions about the series or want some more of my insights please comment below.

Taking A Break....
From A Game of Thrones Series, for one week. I am very much in love with the series but it is very tiring to read constantly and the third book has taken almost 3 weeks to finish. I want an easy book in between. Is that too much to ask? Good. I am glad you are ok with it :) I am going to read either Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls) or The Maze Runner (Maze Runner Trilogy, Book 1)
My sister is reading them for summer reading at her school so I figured I would see what these youngsters are having to read now-a-days.
Anyone read either of these? Leave me a comment or let me know which one you would like me to read.
Thanks,

Audiobook of the WEEK?? Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern
This book, well audio book was a pretty fun switch from the A Game of Thrones series I am reading and I got to kill two birds with one stone. Hear a funny book and occupy my time on the way home from Tallahassee seeing my beautiful girlfriend Manda.
The book is a compilation of shit that Justin Halpern's dad said throughout his life and some of the stuff is really genius. I will say that it was a lot more vulgar than I thought it would be. Only because it is now a sitcom and I assumed it would be family friendly... this is not true :) But honestly I am hardly family friendly so this book and I meshed together well.
You can pick the book up for pretty cheap as a book and as an audio book. here is the link to the book Sh*t My Dad Says
. I really only got the audiobook cuz it was cheap and was almost the exact length of time I needed for my journey home.
I feel good about at least listening to a full book as I am still only half way through my current book... look for that review soon and thanks for reading my blog. You are the best person for doing so.

BOOK OF THE WEEK!!! A Storm of Swords By George R.R. Martin!!!

BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW!!! A Clash Of Kings by George R.R. Martin
A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2)
By George R.R. Martin.
This book was grrrrrrrrrreat! I am now immersed in the world of The Seven Kingdom's Super anxious to get into the next book.
The book started right where the first left and it is really as if you are reading one gigantic book and it was just split up so you would not be holding a 4000 page book... (that would hurt your wrists after a while.) I am glad I finally finished it. I will admit this is the most detailed epic I have ever read. The characters are so many and the stories of each are almost like individual books inside one book. A whole other book series could be spawned from any number of the characters in the book. Tyrion for example is a dwarf and probably the most bad ass character in the book...(hopefully he doesn't get killed off like everyone else.) He could have easily been the main role but I think the way Martin writes almost makes all the characters equally noted, so I really couldn't pin point the main good guy or bad guy. AND THAT IS AWESOME!!!
If you have patience you should definitely pick up this book series and find out all of what I mean. If you don't I think you should just watch the series on HBO(hopefully that doesn't get killed off.)
Any questions or comments or more of my thoughts just comment below.

BOOK OF THE WEEK!! A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2)
by George R.R. Martin is the second book in the series and as in my previously stated review longer than the first book by almost 200 pages... This will be a real feat for me to take on as I am also starting a day late. Wish me luck and hopefully you are still reading my blog :)
It was awesome. It took me two weeks to read. The second book is longer! BOOK REVIEW: A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book One
is a book I wish I had known about years ago! If a book has a map in the first few pages I am usually pretty stoked and this book did not disappoint. It is a tale of kings, knights, lords and a dark clan of men called the Night Watch. With a tremendous array of dramatic characters the book is easy to get lost in and makes the reader(me, possibly you) want to go back and live in these times where men where men and honor was all that mattered.
For any of you that don't know it has also been made into a TV series on HBO and I can see why. I have not seen the series yet and will prob wait til I am through with the books. Even though it is set in a medieval setting the storyline is one which can hold anyone's attention.
I do suggest being prepared to read the book for how long a read it is. Not that it is a bad thing. The story involves a lot of characters and is not a book to skim over.
George R.R. Martin has put a very good impression on me and I am really excited to see through to the end of the series. I am starting the second book A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2)
today and already on page 6 I know it is going to be as thrilling as the first.
Remember If you are interested in any of my books including these, just click the name of the book and you will be immediately connected to Amazon for the best prices! Also if you are interested in the box set here is the link George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones 4-Book Boxed Set: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, and A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire)

Going to take another week :(
A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book One
is a long book. SOOOO, I am going to finish it in two weeks instead of my usual one. The review will be up on June 22nd and at that point I will be starting the second book in the series A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2)
.
Feel free to click on either of these books to purchase them for yourself. Game of Thrones is awesome so far and way more brutal than I imagined. I am really looking forward to seeing the HBO series after I am through reading.
Thanks as always for checking out my blog and be sure to tell any friends you might have about it.

When you pull into a gas station, don't be an idiot. Pull up to the further gas pump not the first one. It is a gas pumping courtesy.

BOOK OF THE NEXT FOR WEEKS????? A Game of Thrones Series by George R.R. Martin BOOK 1: A Game of Thrones
A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book One
I am jumping on the Game of Thrones band wagon!!! And going to read the 4 books over the next 4 weeks!!! I'm pretty excited and have no idea what the hell the books are about.... so here it goes!
BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW!! Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
Water for Elephants: A Novel
was GREAT!!
Not anything like I expected. It is sad it had to be made into a movie before I picked it up. I glanced over it in the past at book stores but maybe it was the cover that kept me from picking it up? Just another case of judging a book by its cover I guess.
The book is a love story as the new cover suggest and it goes down in a traveling circus setting. Written from a male prspective Sara Gruen does an excellent job of portraying the main character Jacob so well that I forget I am reading a female author by the end of the book. Again another judging a book by authors name/gender problem I have some times... but I am working on it ok.
The movie I am hoping holds true to the book and if it does it should make for a great theater experience. Also this book makes me want to go the circus, like right now! After learning more behind the scenes information I feel like I would appreciate the circus much more now. I would go out and get this book if I were you. You can get it cheap from Amazon with my link or pick it up almost anywhere as the movie has gained it more popularity.
If you have any questions or suggestions hit me up, I want to make this blog a more interactive one and that means YOU have to be involved! :)
