It was awesome. It took me two weeks to read. The second book is longer! BOOK REVIEW: A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book One is a book I wish I had known about years ago! If a book has a map in the first few pages I am usually pretty stoked and this book did not disappoint. It is a tale of kings, knights, lords and a dark clan of men called the Night Watch. With a tremendous array of dramatic characters the book is easy to get lost in and makes the reader(me, possibly you) want to go back and live in these times where men where men and honor was all that mattered.
For any of you that don't know it has also been made into a TV series on HBO and I can see why. I have not seen the series yet and will prob wait til I am through with the books. Even though it is set in a medieval setting the storyline is one which can hold anyone's attention.
I do suggest being prepared to read the book for how long a read it is. Not that it is a bad thing. The story involves a lot of characters and is not a book to skim over.
George R.R. Martin has put a very good impression on me and I am really excited to see through to the end of the series. I am starting the second book A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2) today and already on page 6 I know it is going to be as thrilling as the first.
