BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW!!! Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls) by Maggie Stiefvater was one of the easiest books I have ever read!
Also a complete rip off of Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1) by Stephanie Meyer. Too similar to even say otherwise the only difference is Maggie did not drag the book on and on and on and it was about wolves and not vampires... I know what you are thinking, there were wolves in Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1) but these wolves are different. Effected by temperature, these wolves can not shift on there own will, it has to be cold outside.
If you are looking for a two-day quick read I would suggest this book and I would also see the intrigue of reading it as a Summer Reading book(for a 17 year old girl), but I feel like the teacher that chose this was just making the work load easy and maybe trying to get brownie points with her(assuming teacher is female) fall class. It may work but I feel like kids should be reading The Grapes of Wrath (Penguin Classics), The Importance Of Being Earnest, Candide, and other such classic writings. These books are made of real stuff.
It is part of a 3 part series so I am planning on finishing the series out and reviewing each but for now I think I will move to a more challenging read... A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4).

If you are interested in reading any of the books I have mentioned just click on there titles and you can order them straight from amazon! AWESOME!!!
Pleas comment on how I make you feel below...

BOOK OF THE WEEK!!! Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls) by Maggie Stiefvater.

This is probably a book I would have never picked up but it is on my lil sisters summer reading for this year and I wanted to find out what these kids are reading. This being said I have been reading for a day and am already half way through it.

But I will let the anticipation build for my review.

You are awesome for reading this blog.

A Game of Thrones break...for a week (or a few days)

Finished  A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 3) and am still very much stoked about the series. There are a lot of people being killed in these books and although I am sad at some there are some much needed villains being finally brought to justice in this third installment! I am excited to start the 4th book but am also glad to take a one book reprieve from the series and read an easy fast book to break things up a bit.
Also if you have not started watching the TV series for Game of Thrones... What are you waiting for???

ITS AMAZING!!!

Taking A Break....

From A Game of Thrones Series, for one week. I am very much in love with the series but it is very tiring to read constantly and the third book has taken almost 3 weeks to finish. I want an easy book in between. Is that too much to ask? Good. I am glad you are ok with it :) I am going to read either Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls) or The Maze Runner (Maze Runner Trilogy, Book 1) My sister is reading them for summer reading at her school so I figured I would see what these youngsters are having to read now-a-days.

Anyone read either of these? Leave me a comment or let me know which one you would like me to read.
Thanks,

Audiobook of the WEEK?? Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern

This book, well audio book was a pretty fun switch from the A Game of Thrones series I am reading and I got to kill two birds with one stone. Hear a funny book and occupy my time on the way home from Tallahassee seeing my beautiful girlfriend Manda.

The book is a compilation of shit that Justin Halpern's dad said throughout his life and some of the stuff is really genius. I will say that it was a lot more vulgar than I thought it would be. Only because it is now a sitcom and I assumed it would be family friendly... this is not true :) But honestly I am hardly family friendly so this book and I meshed together well.

You can pick the book up for pretty cheap as a book and as an audio book. here is the link to the book Sh*t My Dad Says. I really only got the audiobook cuz it was cheap and was almost the exact length of time I needed for my journey home.

I feel good about at least listening to a full book as I am still only half way through my current book... look for that review soon and thanks for reading my blog. You are the best person for doing so.

BOOK OF THE WEEK!!! A Storm of Swords By George R.R. Martin!!!

A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 3)
The third installment to this epic tale!
Going to try and sally forth to finishing this book in a week unlike the last two books.

BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW!!! A Clash Of Kings by George R.R. Martin

A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2) By George R.R. Martin.
This book was grrrrrrrrrreat! I am now immersed in the world of The Seven Kingdom's Super anxious to get into the next book.
The book started right where the first left and it is really as if you are reading one gigantic book and it was just split up so you would not be holding a 4000 page book... (that would hurt your wrists after a while.) I am glad I finally finished it. I will admit this is the most detailed epic I have ever read. The characters are so many and the stories of each are almost like individual books inside one book. A whole other book series could be spawned from any number of the characters in the book. Tyrion for example is a dwarf and probably the most bad ass character in the book...(hopefully he doesn't get killed off like everyone else.) He could have easily been the main role but I think the way Martin writes almost makes all the characters equally noted, so I really couldn't pin point the main good guy or bad guy. AND THAT IS AWESOME!!!
If you have patience you should definitely pick up this book series and find out all of what I mean. If you don't I think you should just watch the series on HBO(hopefully that doesn't get killed off.)
