CHAOS!!

Well, I was thinking about building a new bookshelf/headboard for my room(design pictured here above). I was moving my old book shelf to assess the amount of room I would have if I moved my bed from the far corner to the middle of my room. Well, I broke the shelf : / (pictured to your right) SOOOO now I am off to build my bookshelf/ headboard because my room looks like this...
I'll have my phone on me if you would like to help me build :)


Oh and also exciting news.. I finished book 1 of this week and will have my review and let you know what my 2nd book will be later this evening  so stay tuned...

This weeks BOOK OF THE WEEK!! (April 25th through May 1st) My Hart Wer Broken by Ollie Bell Hughes

My Hart Wer Broken by Ollie Bell Hughes.... This book was originally written by one of my long ago family members and transcribed by another (of my present time) family member and I...can't recall how I am actually related :/ It was given to me as a gift and is kind of a life story of another family member who could not write very well ... I will give Miss Ollie consideration though as she was a young girl from the 1800's who lived in Georgia. Soooo by default poor spelling was bound to happen. GO GATORS ???

Also this book is short and I will be attempting to read two books this week :)

BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW!! The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen

Here it is guys!My BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW!!The Corrections I literally just finished this book and it only took me until 6 this morning to do, along with a 2 hour stint of reading from when I woke up this morning. I honestly couldn't put it down and a book of less interest to me may have made me fall to sleep or consider pushing this book review off until tomorrow. I really enjoyed this book on a very real level. Because it was very real. The people in this story are everyday people and nothing really extraordinary defines any of them(two of the characters are rather successful, but what I mean is there are no super powers involved.)We spend a lot of time in the fantasy of fiction and not very much time in the true grit of what life is about and things that ordinary people deal with in everyday life. This book gives us a glimpse of that everyday family and reminds us of our own families, friends and siblings. Also unlike many books Franzen goes into deep detail with everything. Instead of letting your imagination wonder and just lightly going over certain aspects of the story he goes ahead and tells you the whole thing in every detail. It says something about his writing because it is still interesting even in the most mundane details. I would recommend this book to someone who had the patience for details and is not looking for a box office thriller. I do think that this book will be a required reading someday though either in college or in a upper level high school English class of some sort. It gives a modern feel on the old school text. The only difference being that, I really enjoyed this book :) I  am giving it an 8/10. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to enlighten me .... Thanks

EASTER!!

Oh, what a festive day today was! I got to spend a lot of quality time with both sides of my family and ate way too much food...I took a panoramic picture at my dad's house and I will shoot that to my blog shortly. Pretty awesome what my little phone is capable of.

I am only have way through my BOOK OF THE WEEK and that is discouraging as I like to have them finished by Monday. Oh well, I will just be up all nite reading and "burning the midnight oil" as they say. I reckon that is a comparison to drinking coffee after midnight, because that's what I will be doing. I am really excited about keeping this blog updated and look SUPER FORWARD to hearing from my followers so please comment and give me feedback     I am here to please.

DAY ONE!! SUCCESS!?!

Here it is!! THE BOOK OF THE WEEK REVIEW.This weeks book was The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. Let me just say this book was not what I was expecting and I was incredibly pleased by the way it turned out! It is a LOVE STORY! and a 10 out of 10 one at that! I will say it is hard to get started if you have a weak stomach but the book ove...r all is amazing and even better it is available on the discount racks at Barnes and Noble for $6!!! IN HARDBACK! You should get your hands on this book... Like right now, log out of facebook, get in your car, drive to the nearest bookstore (that isn't Books-a-million) and get this and immediately start reading it! I would be happy to share more info on the book with you as well, just comment or message me or hell call me on my cell! 881-4380. That's how much I liked this book.
